What is it?

This year we host a unique conference dedicated to students with a potential interest in studying medicine or biomedical sciences at university. The pre-med conference is designed to introduce secondary school students to the academic world, and life at university.

What will be covered?

During this one-day event, students will learn about medical science, clinical medicine, academia, and will leave the day with transferable skills and a confidence boost for their university applications.

Skills that will be addressed include CV/personal statement writing, first aid/life support and problem-solving in medicine. Besides this, students will take away lots from our interactive scientific and medical lectures. The full programme can be found below.

In addition, this conference allows students to present their own research, essays, or other work they have previously done through poster presentations – much like a real academic conference. This will set students up for when going to university, and gives them the confidence to go further! We will be accepting abstracts until 19 October, 5pm (submit through here).
